A growing number of businesses are looking to add video content to their online marketing efforts, according to a new study.
In a study which may interest companies in Lancashire looking to boost their online presence, Implix revealed that over 80 per cent of companies plan to use video emails this year.
Econsultancy reports that this marks a major rise from 2009, when just 15.7 per cent of firms made use of the multimedia content in marketing messages.
It also revealed that over 65 per cent of companies feel that video emails have had an impact on their conversion rates, while 64 per cent who have already used the platform claim to have enjoyed such benefits.
Talking to the website about the results, Implix chief executive officer Simon Grabowski said video makes messages more personal.
He added: "People will still read emails. We tend to think that at some point, the boundary between email and social is going to disappear."
Eva Berg-Winters, senior manager and new media specialist at PricewaterhouseCoopers, recently stated that many firms are also seeking to combine online marketing with TV advertising.
