We currently recruiting at Graduate Entry level for several specific PHP projects and mobile phone applications. Salary will depend on practical skills in the LAMP environment, Javascript/JQuery and Ajax as well as any commercial experience.

What we do

As well as websites built to best practice standards on our own CMS, we work on complex web systems. As we build our sites so well, we have minimal support issues. Most of our team work on building systems, some basic and many complex. The work is challenging but rewarding. As well as working in the LAMP environment, you can expect to be involved in iPhone, Android and Windows Live Apps. We are passionate about best practice, even if it takes a little longer.

What you will do

We are looking for Graduates to work alongside our PHP developers on complex Internet based client projects and some in house projects. We work to strict quality standards and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a commercial environment. You may also be working directly with clients.

Your skills / experience

We understand that as a Graduate you may not have much commercial experience but we are looking for the right attitude to work and coding. We expect a good working knowledge of developing online sites and systems in the LAMP environment using JQuery, Ajax, XHTML/CSS. You should be able to take a complex website from PSD through HTML/CSS hand-coding, Object Oriented Programming using PHP, Ajax and JQuery implementation to final testing and launch.

We use Code Igniter and experience of this would be a distinct advantage

We work to W3C standards and have our own Operations Manual for consistency.

Linux Server Management skills would be useful

Knowledge of other web technologies would be an advantage, for example mobile app development and ASP.NET.

The Package

If you join us you will be involved across our customer base from small to large businesses and we would encourage you to communicate directly with them. As we build our websites so well, we have little support work - most of our developers work on small scale to complex projects.

• 3+ years commercial experience developing online sites and systems in the LAMP environment using JQuery, Ajax, XHTML/CSS. You should be able to take a complex website from PSD through HTML/CSS hand-coding, Object Oriented Programming using PHP, Ajax and JQuery implementation to final testing and launch.
